re: . Lower wages are the reason our border will never be secure.)))

keep in mind that due to tax cuts, lower wages are higher than they used to be. Why not raise taxes on entry-level jobs? That'd make the jobs less attractive to illegals.

Do illegals pay taxes?

You are suggesting taking even more money from the people who need it most , (tax paying American citizens at the lowest economic rung, whom it is most important to reward, to keep them in the economic system,) and to put it into the hands of a government who wants to redistribute it to illegals. Can you see how wrong that is, if you love liberty and America's core values?

re: . Lower wages are the reason our border will never be secure.)))

Then they should be? What should they be?

We have basically eliminated ghettos, so finding legal, cheap, housing is next to impossible. This is why the slave labor which we are importing is destroying neighborhoods by sleeping fifty people in a single family zoned house, (destroying the value of the entire neighborhood).

This cheap labor is destroying America's infrastructure so that a few can profit from slave labor.  It is not being destroyed because there is too much money available for entry level jobs.

Why raise taxes if you intent is to make it more difficult to work? Raising taxes would merely penalizes the people who are obeying the law and paying taxes anyway. If your intent is to dissuade those who are not paying taxes, and who shouldn't be working, to not work and and to not take the job from the one who is a legal citizen and who wants to work and who is paying taxes.

Tax paying jobs are already irrelevant to illegals because most are not paying taxes anyway. They are getting cash for labors which they send back to Mexico, and do not put back into the economy which generated it.
