Dear Supporters,
My great friend, Bill McCollum, former congressman and attorney general candidate, offered me some words of support today and I wanted to share them with you. Please take a moment to read our campaign press release below. For campaign updates, please visit our website at www.ElectHarris.org. Thank you and I hope you have a nice weekend.
Sincerely,
Katherine Harris
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Tampa, Fla.)- Former congressman and current candidate for attorney general Bill McCollum offered insight and supportive comments of the Katherine Harris for U.S. Senate race to Adam Smith, Host of "Political Connections" and political reporter for the St. Petersburg Times.
If Bill McCollum, the Republican frontrunner for attorney General, is worried about sharing the ticket with Katherine Harris, he sure isn't saying so. After taping an interview with McCollum for "Political Connections" (airing in Tampa Bay Sunday at 11 a.m. on Bay News 9), we asked him if he's hoping Allan Bense gets in the race.
"If Katherine's running for the Senate, and she certainly seems to be, the odds are she will be the nominee...She has a lot of work to do to overcome (high profile problems) but I do not think that have much effect on the rest of the ticket. I think that's been exaggerated,'' said McCollum, who said he won't be at all reluctant to campaign alongside Harris.
"Certainly Bill McCollum knows what the Katherine Harris for Senate Campaign has said all along- the typical grassroots voter in Florida supports Katherine, and she will be the nominee to take on liberal Bill Nelson in November. Katherine generates excitement among the rank and file GOP voters and mainstream Floridians who share her views on lowering taxes and protecting traditional values," said Harris spokesman Chris Ingram.

You ought to read the article you posted. McCollum is running for attorney general of Florida.
Supposedly, Alan Bense is going to challenge Harris in the primary.
I don't have a dog in this fight, but Harris is not going to beat Nelson, not with the sinking poll numbers she's had.
So, there you have it.
Why did #1 get deleted? I was in the middle of trying to respond to it and thought I must've been banned when I kept getting an error.. LOL
What's going on?
Who posted the article?
He thought McCollum was running against her, but he was actually praising her, as he is running for attorney general.
There was nothing in his post that justifies it being pulled.
Believe me, I know these things.
OK, thanks and LOL! I know you know "these things."
It made me get caught in some weird loop where my FR switched back to defaults and I couldn't see any of the reply links. But anyhow, the first post did seem rather harmless to me, and the person hasn't been banned, so it wasn't something in another thread that did it.
Maybe he asked to be deleted?
It is a puzzlement.
Hmmm. "Won't be at all reluctant..."
Not, "looking forward to..." Not, "enthusiastic about the opportunity to..." Not, "excited about..."
Add that to "She has a lot of work to do to overcome (high profile problems)..." and this is the absolute definition of damning with faint praise.
And this sort of namby-pamby "recommendation" is the subject of a touted Katherine Harris campaign press release? Perhaps this is the best she can do.
Yes, I made a mistake late last night, and asked the modie to remove my comment at post #1 .
It was very late and I was tired and I made an error, which that 'sinkspur' pointed out - so I have the comment posting pulled !
Later it seemed that the entire thread had been removed, so I did repsond to any of your questions .
Sorry for my lack of attentiveness . .
