I took my 15yo twins this morning. The theatre was not at all crowded, but then it was 10:00 a.m.
My greatest fear as I left was that this would become simply another "Airport" movie. The kids didn't start talking about it until we were at lunch. Maybe they just needed the time to absorb all of it.
The most gripping moments for me were the scenes depicting the panic at the control centers and the FAA central command. The people there were emotionally torn to shreds from the helplessness. The people on board United 93, while doomed, were at least able to affect an outcome.
That's an interesting analysis .. I hadn't thought of it that way.
