Yeah, I heard there were only a little less than 1200 theaters in the initial showing. Most releases are about 3 times as big. I'm surprised.
I'm disgusted. People need to see this movie.
And for us in Australia to have to wait until August to see this movie, is just wrong. I'm going to engage in a bit of an email-writing campaign of my own, to try and get the distributors to move it up.
They'll probably tell me it's "not relevant" to Australia, which is utter garbage. Many Australians sat up all night in horror as the news unfolded on September 11, 2001 (it happened late at night, our time), and by the time I went to bed, just before dawn, I could hear the rumble of airforce planes in the distance (I live near Australia's largest airforce base). Australia still has troops in Afghanistan and Iraq... people need to remember what we're fighting for.

Well .. I agree with you - we're all in this whether we want to be or not. What I see is that some people actually don't believe we're even at war .. they are so deceived.
