Whatever - it's been blown up so much that a nurse I work with asked my opinion and she thought it was too soon. I retorted, geez they were showing WWII movies before the thing ended and all she could say was "this is different." Couldn't explain why.
"Too soon" really means too close to election time.
In WW2, nobody disputed that we were at war, that it would be a long and bloody war, and that peace would only come with the complete destruction of the other side
She doesn't want to face it.
Because if she faced it, she could not evade the idea that we are at war with Islam. The idea, and it's implications, require a maturity that many people do not have. They prefer not to have to think about it. It frightens them
Thanks 3cat&adog....that is the perfect answer. It seems that it is only different because so many want to figure out why it was "our fault" this happened...hand wringing...and why don't the muslims like us...blah..blah...blah. Those who are saying that it is too soon in the MSM have a group think mentality. They are the same ones who have been making apologies for the muslims ever since 9/11. Somehow it is too soon for this movie...but they happily promote every bloody slasher movie that contains stomach churning senseless violence.
