Around the time my toddler was born I read about a study that found a connection between obesity in children and drinking juice. My two year old son has only had juice a few times. His doctor seems to think that this is great.
There are some people who would go too far in the quest to limit the weight of their children. It's OK to limit junk food, but children under 2 are not supposed to be drinking low-fat milk.

I wonder how much of it is habits, though. I mean if you use food as a pacafier and a reward too much couldn't you be setting up a person for a lifetime of struggling?
