It amazes me that they think this is going to help their "plight". Plight! I just heard some maroon on FOX stating that helping the immigrants with their plight is the reason he produced the spanish National Anthem. I nearly fell out of my chair. If their "plight" is so dire here, let them go home.
Just remember the May Day event scheduling came first. Ask most Hispanic or latino workers if they are taking the day off and most simply chuckle and respond they have to earn their wages. The vast majority of the movement came out immediately after the Showtime show "Walkout" and has been well orchestrated. Whoever is behind it has enough stroke to control cable TV programming, news reporting focus, and has had sufficient time to make a teledocumentary promoting its cause prior to it being aired.
This is all well organized propoganda. A bigger concern is wondering why the US Government doesn't simply fight back in the propoganda war by stating these obvious factors as well as publicizing some intelligence of which the common man may not be aware.
