Joseph Farah / WordNetDaily has been pushing this suitcase nuke story for years. I think those suitcase nukes, if they ever existed, wound up in the lost/unclaimed luggage department at the airport.

Non-story....the tritium triggers would be ineefective at this point....

Now, new nukes (not suitcase) specifically atomic bombs similiar to the Hiroshima bomb are relatively easy to manufacture with a decent lab. Although large by today's standards and low for the yield would still be deadly and could easily be hidden in a lead lined container the size of a small mini-van.
