Our operating system? Not just a little biased there are you? LOL!
BTW you are right, it's a great move to get the Chinese to use the MS operating system, international spying has never been this easy.
You're what is known affectionately as a 'Free Traitor'. Business usurps everything. You know nothing of history my friend. Sell out your country for a buck......
it seems the more US based software running on chicom machines the better

IBM to launch cheaper mainframe in China
http://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060427/BUSINESS01/60426008/1003/NEWS
Which one scares you more? The Chinese running Windows on their PC's, or getting mainframes from IBM?
Please tell me how business that will lead to a correction in the deficit, even a small one, can possibly be construed as selling out the country. The people that are selling out this country are those that send the money the other way, like the Wall mart shoppers.
You know nothing of history my friend.
Actually, I consider myself to be well read in history and to my knowledge, down through history, countries that maintained the upper hand in business relations also maintained political clout as well.
well said
Invent their own OS.
I've been in the biz for a while. I purchased my first Microsoft product in 1978.
Bill Gates would be a fool not to try and get Windows embedded into the Chinese culture. Whatever benefit the PLA can get from this would be gotten with or without the deal.
This is a very smart move on Microsoft's part. They've been trying unsuccessfully for years to get China to crack down on the software piracy market operating in China. Now that it's also their product, I image the Chinese government is finally going to crack down.
