Unfortunately, it is not only the underclass, but the same phenomenon is noticed in the upper middle class as well. My son's in-laws, for instance. I have come to think almost nobody in Mexico is aware of anything comparable to us.

You are right that it is not just the underclasses who believe in a Marxist/socialist system. If that is what prevails in a societies educational system then even the well off will subscribe to it. A lesson we should take to heart when we see what passes for education in this country.
