Your dissembling again - the tried and true tactic of someone who has something to hide.

But I'll answer this question:

"I think Patton was right. Do you think he was wrong?"

I think Patton's sentiment was right, but the practicality of it was wrong (as another poster pointed out - it would have been extremely difficult to carry out and not well received -added to that the weariness of our draftee Army already looking forward to going home)

Patton is important because he wasn't fooled by the "temporary" alliance (of necessity) with the Soviet Union and he correctly, years prior to the Cold War, pointed out that our threat was and remained to be from the Soviets.
