This is NOT the press release page of a conservative Senator.

Mike DeWine received a score of 48% and a grade of C-minus from the National Taxpayers Union for his votes relating to taxes, spending, and waste in waste in 2005. Only three GOP senators were worse (Snowe and Collins of Maine and Lincoln Chafee).

Here's part of what Senate candidate Bill Pierce has to say about DeWine's spending record:

As you look through DeWine's listing, ask yourself if it represents the responsibilities our founding fathers envisioned of a central government – and, I think you will agree it does not.

Now consider who is paying this extravagant bill. Mike DeWine is not, and neither are any current taxpayers. The fact is that it has been “charged” to your account, your children’s account, and your children’s children’s account. For the foreseeable future, Americans will be making interest only payments while leaving the principal amount for some future generation to pay.

..... The culture of extravagant spending must cease; and simple, every day business practices of balancing expenses to revenues must become the norm. Businesses and our own personal family budgets require it and government should be no different. But it is not going to happen until “we the people …” demand it to happen, and that is only going to be accomplished when Americans let their voices be heard at the voting booth.

It is for that reason I ask that you support my candidacy to the U.S. Senate. I would welcome the opportunity to join a threesome of first term maverick Senators – Coburn (OK), DeMint (SC), and Ensign (NV) – all of whom are entrepreneurs and small business owners, and have pushed back against the “old guard” with the belief that our Nation’s business must be conducted differently for a prosperous and secure future.

Pierce is the guy for Ohio. Now is the time.

Mike DeWine has had his butt kicked several times this year in county endorsement meetings. Pierce has beaten him three times, tied him once, and lost once.

Betcha didn't know that. Thanks to media laziness, almost no one does.

The grass-roots does not like Mike DeWine, and I mean REALLY doesn't like him.

The grass roots is responding to Bill Pierce who, as you can see from the content is ANWR-energy post, is a genuine and articulate conservative and will be the citizen legislator our Founders envisioned, in the mold of a Coburn or DeMint.

Bill Pierce needs our support.

My personal bumper sticker graphic:

Mike DeWine has only two allies: Apathy, and Inertia. Bill Pierce can crush both of them on May 2 if we support him now, and if Ohio conservatives turn out and vote the issues in the voting booth. Pierce for Senate.

THANK YOU!

I was hoping there was someone to run against DeWine!

There's no denying that Mike DeWine's record is mediocre. I wish he had retired and Ken Blackwell was running in his place.

A strong showing by Bill Pierce would really send DeWine a message.

Thanks, litany. Bill Pierce will have my vote and my husband's too.
