I have not read the entire thread yet...but it so blatantly obvious that the WaPo is using anonymous sources of innuendo and flat out BS to exploit this issue. Gasoline on the fire. Keep revolting against their leader. If the President is so leftist...why do you guys think this election is so damn important to them?
People, we are being played here. The press is intentionally using you to achieve their agenda: Put dems back in power.
I hope it feels good, because ya'all will look like a bunch of stupid idiots when it is said and done. We will still have completely wide open borders and flat out amnesty with no hurdles whatsoever. And despite whatever message you think your sending, people in general will not give a rip, politicians will believe they need to be more LEFT to win and you will have absolutely no power whatsoever for the next 40 years because the dems will hand out candy and treats to the people they've won over with their "kindness."
I am sorry, but I am tired of trying to be nice. Progress is better than perfection. Some is better than none. In any war, even on domestic issues, there are setbacks. You don't just turn around and start fragging your own officers because you don't like everything you do. You hang in and fight harder to win bigger.
All I can say at this point is that there are way too many here that are flat out Stuck on Stupid. That's right, Stupid. And I for one am sick of it.

I am very grouchy...but strangely I feel a little better now.

One was a mexican, the other was from further south I think, but neither would get off their can and pump gas, they just took the money. Oh, and when I was a kid I did pump gas after school, and after work I went home and worked on the farm.

Me:work-site enforcement is down....because....the president moved almost all such funding to border enforcement after 911.You:Oh...We have secured our borders after 9/11?
Me:We haven't made any arrests at the border since 9/11?
Your "Answer" (which is a rhetorical question) You gave me a rhetorical question. I responded with a rhetorical question.
My above statement still stands. If you wish to respond to it without asking a rhetorical question that doesn't logically follow from my statement -- I'm all ears.
Else the statement stands without you addressing it.

So, how are the anti-borders folks spinning this unsurprising revelation? Can't keep track. We're prob'ly sexist, racist, xenophobic, hateful bubbas or something.

A couple of weeks ago he posted a vanity saying that his purpose was to elect "Republicans" and defeat "Democrats". Maybe he meant that in a non-party way.
To: CWOJackson
That is his personal belief...not his stated mission of the forum. Two different things.

"Oh...we have secured our borders after 9/11?"Immediately after 9/11 was the perfect time to secure the borders, as part of the WOT. It was a missed opportunity.
The President and the Republicans are fortunate there have been no terrorist attacks due to the porous borders. If something does occur on his watch (I am not forgetting the human ramifications) due to the porous borders, it will severely hurt him and the Republican Party.
And it is going to hurt the Republican Party in November if nothing is done to secure the borders by then. That is crystal clear.

Thanks, I'll let my post

Kind of difficult separate the ideas of the man from the site...but convenient I guess.

That's your first post to me, the implication being I'm an idiot. Howlin and you started the cracks, without reference to immigration, and I am swift on the retribution. You have yet to respond to a single thing I've said on immigration.

Well, I was wondering when the first Bushbot would show up and start maligning conservatives. Sounds like the half dozen of them or so on here are getting a little slower policing threads for anti-Bush sentiment with every bad decision el Presidente makes.

Bushbot: anyone who cannot find six new reasons to hate President Bush by noon each day.
True Conservative: someone who can.
Real Conservative: someone who can think up twenty by noon and thinks a "true conservative" is a Bushbot.
To: Old_Mil
Obviously you have nothing to contribute except cheap personal attacks.
