I'm surprised that Los Angeles is not on the list.

Living in Los Angeles I'm not surprised in the least. There are Birkenstok cities but LA is not one. And you are mostly basing that opinion (I suspect) on what entertainers say.

In my office (stockbroker) there are only a handful of liberals.

I'm basing my opinion on the LA Times, and people I meet. Then again, I live in a beach city, and that may skew things, dude.

Where do I apply!? :)

I completely agree with this assessment and even though I am in the arts and it is unbearable liberalism, God, GOP and Bush bashing 24/7--oh yeah I forget that is liberalism-- people still want to work and make a buck or two here and don't feel guilty at all about it-even in the arts. Cities like Seattle and Portland (comparatively) not so much. I quit giving my money to the LA Times years ago.
