"In second place is the West Coast with 3 cities named..."
Public school problem again? Geography or math problem?
San Francisco
Berkeley
Portland
Seattle
The grouping of SF and Berkeley are really no different that Newark and NYC. In each case they are less than 20 miles apart.
In fact four of them are grouped together in an area much smaller than the size of California (Boston, NYC, Newark, and DC).
We don't hear so much about the concentration of liberals back there, because they are divided up into tiny states smaller than most US Counties.
To those who's cities were not named, but think they should be ... come visit one of us on the list and live under our our burdens. It is not just that there are a lot of liberals here, it is that they are in power, and at every level. In Seattle, from the school board, to the City, Metro Transit overlords, the County, the state house and senate, the governor, the representatives in Congress, our Senators ... all liberal democrat. There are no moderate, let alone conservative, newspapers or tv stations. There are no local bastions to run to where you can be safe from the ever invading hands of government. I love Seattle because of the natural beauty that God imparted on this region, but I despise our politics.
Off the top of my head and without checking: San Francisco, Berkeley, Seattle, Austin, Boulder, Madison, WI, and ......
Heck, most of 'em have probably stuffed a dollar into more than one G-string in their day.
Yes, I once did live in Hellmouth. San Francisco and Berkeley -- both made the list.
SWIPE!
Ignoring Berkeley must be just plain ignorance...
(I sleep better ignoring things coming out Berkeley...)
Or until it implodes.
I guess the strippers love the environmental consciousness fostered by the leaders of Portland!
In top golfers, the difference between the 1st and 250th is a quarter of a stroke.
In cities, the difference between one and 10 is nothing. If you don't see your city on the list, it is just not in the top 10 but, rest assured, it is somewhere close.
I nominate Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Did you notice that these 10 cities are either on the east or west coast. That in an of itself ought to tell us something.
I know. One of the people I pinged lives near Ithaca. Thought he'd get a kick out of it.
Wouldn't have put the Distict as one of the most liberal, but it is certainly in the Top 5 worst governed, managed, and run municipalities in the nation! The schools are a disgrace, and despite Draconian gun laws, it is among the leading gun-violence cities.
What happened to Boulder, Madison, and Austin?
You must not go downtown too often. Earlier this month I saw a homeless gent wrapped in a blanket and snoozing on the sidewalk outside the Wrigley Building. Two panhandlers were working outside the Tribune Tower. And the further south you go, the more of that you see.
"Expect home values to start plummeting in these RATholes"
LOL. nyc and san fran are 2 of the most expensive places in the country to buy homes! so what, its going to be cheaper to buy in nyc than kansas next year? dream on.
