Thanks very much for the link! : )
You're welcome. I certainly hope that Allan Bense will see his way clear (after the May 5 conclusion of the 2006 Florida legislative session) to declare his candidacy for the U.S. Senate. He has done a fine job as our state speaker of the house.
Unfortunately, on the strength of his current "name recognition" account balance, Bense would have trouble buying a vowel. But with Jeb Bush's active backing and campaigning on his behalf, that can be easily overcome. The RNC PTB may have finally found the way to get Harris out of this race (certainly, nothing else has worked)...have Jeb Bush come out pre-primary in support of another candidate.
Jeb Bush has already stated that he will actively campaign for the post primary republican candidates for governor, attorney general, etc., and has declined to endorse any other candidates prior to the primary sorting them out. It's a clear signal of how much trouble Harris' campaign is in when Jeb Bush not only criticizes her campaign, but also actively endorses an alternative candidate (Bense) who hasn't even agreed to run. Harris is toast. The only question is how much damage she will do to the Florida republican cause (and how much in obligatory donations she will cost the state party) before she gives her run-amuck and unsupportable ego a rest.
