Taking the role would have been a step down for Rush. On the radio, he is the voice of conservatism. Tony Snow now only gets to be the voice of one person.

It would be fun to see Rush take on the press though.

Rush can't debate as well as Tony, IMHO. Tony does his due diligence so much better.

We need Rush in the trenches anyway. Rush is great because he says exactly what he thinks without worrying about being offensive. I'm sure he'd be a great advisor to the Prez, but he does a LOT of good right where he's at.
