There is a lot of complaining, whining, lying, misleading, and really bad analysis going on right now vis-a-vis high gas prices. The latest I saw (early this morning) was an analysis that shows a lack of parity between the percentage increase in the price of a barrel of oil and the price of a gallon of gasoline at the pump. Look, I am not an economist or an expert on these matters. But rather than just moaning about the price of gas and then uttering some disembodied, meaningless statistic I heard from some dude, I have actually been listening to experts over the last few days. And, as with just about everything, to more I learn about an issue, the more I realize how important it is to study things before making snap judgments or determining a personal policy position. Here's the scoop as I now understand it...
The price of a gallon of gasoline is only partially determined by the price of a barrel of...

I almost faint everytime Bela Pelosi opens her mouth lol.
Miss America, Nancy Pelosi... LOL
She's talking with all those blends in CA and the envirowackos?
We must check her portfolio for oil.
Whatever happened with her investigation?
OMG. Give Pelosi some more rope!
Does anyone really listen to Pelosi any more? All they can do is criticize the President. Someone really needs to go up there, slap her in the head and tell her that SHE IS ONE OF THE LAW MAKERS NOT THE PRESIDENT!
Yep, the left is quoting the wrong person...lol...
Just said the same thing on the CBS radio news.
Do you think there is a talking point with the drive by media?
Snicker
The announcement video from this morning is up on C-spin now.
LOL......
Truth be told, Rush gets most of his show prep right here on FR.......
I have heard Rush make verbatim comments from posters.
One time I heard my very own comments on FR being parroted by Drudge! LOL.....
I am pissed about the price of Texas Rangers baseball tickets.. I guess President Bush being tied to Big Baseball is to blame!!!!!!!!!!!
That drives me crazy. When Sean gets backed into a corner he either talks over them, cuts them off or starts repeating his talking points which probably have something to do with BJ Clinton.
It gets old sometimes. But yet I still listen.
Other than his fawning of Stern, I haven't found much to attack Sean on. I think he is a conservative, but he is in NYC, so he is surrounded but libs...rolling in the pig pen will get you dirty.
I don't think Rush was talking about Sean when he implied some would go lib if the money was there. I thik he was talking more of local hosts like New York's Sliwa and DC's Chris Core.
re: Lanny Davis
It's not BJ's butt he's kissing...
I'm not bashing Sean...but I have been pretty disappointed with him in say, the last six months. He really goes out of his way to bash other Conservatives and other hosts (including Tony). Having said that, I'm NOT giving up on him, just tuning in to others and maybe not giving him all 3 hours a day....
Didn't Universal decide to limit the release AFTER the NYers began complaining that it's too soon.
I like both Kilmeade and Napolitano. The Judge has one of those infectious laughs that's irresistable. One of Rush's previous "Mr. Snerdley" incarnation -- James something -- had THE most infectious laugh I'd ever heard.
The Judge has a good "Santa Claus" laugh.
LOL....glub glub glub...you are so bad.
re: Lanny Davis
Just had a horrible thought, could he be strapping something on for LaFarge?
Excuse me... I have to find a bag.
"But yet we still listen. He's a good egg"
Agreed & Yes, we do!
