I got a donation request letter from the RNC yesterday. In Bush's letter he says, " Your gift of $250, $100, $50, $35 or $25 is vital to making certain the RNC's 2006 campaign programs are fully funded and to keeping our conservative agenda for America moving forward."
I'm not sure what "conservative agenda" he's referring to. I'm sending it back telling the RNC that my "gift" will go to those who know what conservatism is.

Yeah, Razz, I got a couple of those myself this past week. Did exactly what you did; explaining in an accompaning letter that, although, I have sent you (RNC) "gifts" in the past, you can stick these in the proverbial "bodily orifice that does not let the sun shine in. And until we some conservative action up your way; you can take me off your mailing list."
This is absolute crap.

I received yet another fundraising call from the RNC yesterday. This is the second one in about 10 days. I have also received perhaps 4 fundraising letters in the past month, each containing a membership card and telling me how privileged I was to receive them.
Yesterday's phone call was some bright-voiced young woman telling me that Mehlman had a message for me concerning what the Democrats would do if they gained control in November.
I replied:"The Democrats will win in November if the Republicans don't pass a tough border and immigration bill. I do not wish to speak with you today. Goodbye."
My husband and I are disgusted.
