Andy Garcia is urging fashion-conscious rebels to stop wearing T-shirts emblazoned with the image of Latino revolutionary Ernesto 'Che' Guevara because they remind Cubans of terrible times. The actor accepts that Guevara stands for rebellion and is seen as a hero to many, but he sees the revolutionary as a butcher who killed millions of his countrymen.
Argentine-born Guevara helped current Cuban leader Fidel Castro overthrow General Fulgencio Batista's government in a guerrilla revolution in the late 1950s.
Garcia, who left Cuba when he was five, says, "I'd be curious to go around and ask them how much they really know about Che. Some people wearing the T-shirt don't even know his name. They know he's some sort of revolutionary, and to wear his image is cool because you feel like a revolutionary. Someone told me the other day that they asked one of these people if they were aware of all the executions that Che was a part of in Cuba and the guy said, 'Well, I don't know if that's true, as if it had been made up to discredit him.' I wish you could say it was made up because that would mean that all those people didn't die under his thumb. That's the tragedy."
The only good Red, is a dead Red. Che is a good Red.
And he has been good for many years to boot.
My html posting skills stink, but there are several here:

Thank-you, thank-you. Check out my link above!
LMAO... it's the nervous system.
I'm sorry, but I love these shirts. Makes steam come out of the liberal's ears, they do.
Thank you
I actually lived in Argentina for 2 years. There, you call EVERYBODY Che'. It's like saying "hey, Mac"... You might say to a friend "Don't give me that b.s., Che'!" It's also used like this: "Che', Carlos, come here!"
The reason Ernesto was called El Che' is because he spoke like an Argentine throughout South and Central America -- Since he said things like, "Che', Fidel, let's kill some capitalist pigs," the NON-Argentines called him The Che'.
OK, history lesson's over. Back to your regularly scheduled programming....
Hey!!! Those are eyes to die for!! :-0
Even sexier after that tidbit. Never really looked into his bio much, just find him incredibly sexy. Maria is a lucky lady. Bet the daughters are gorgeous and that ol' Andy better be packin'.
Is this what you were looking at?
One day, I was walking into the supermarket and saw a bicycle chained to post with positively asinine, vulgar, anti-American bumper stickers plastered all over it.
I was giggling at it and wondering what sort of jackass would display such stupidity so proudly. Suddenly the door to the liquor store next door opened and some fiftyish long-haired, mouth-breathing lump steps out, carrying a bottle of cheap wine and wearing a Che t-shirt.
I really couldn't help myself and I just busted out laughing at him.
I guffawed at him the whole time he was trying to unlock his bike, fumbling with the combination lock. I never laughed so hard in a guy's face like that.
He just looked like he was going to cry at my disrespect for his shallow nebulous political persona. He rode off in a huff, no doubt to get drunk and fancy himself a romantic revolutionary on his mom's couch.
Someone told me the other day that they asked one of these people if they were aware of all the executions that Che was a part of in Cuba
It would be nice to have a T-shirt with that written on it.
I loved him in "The Untouchables"!!
Wearing 'Che' is about as dumb as these idiots wearing the 'CCCP' t-shirts and have NO idea what the hell it means.
