Detectives say two men who are known on the streets as "Diamond" and "Beyonce," were arrested after they pepper-sprayed a car dealer and stole a 2006 Dodge Magnum.
Investigators said on April 4, three men -- two of them dressed as women -- drove up to Payless Auto Sales at 3000 W. Oakland Park Blvd. in Oakland Park. The men asked to look at a 2006 Dodge Magnum. The salesperson, 30-year old Chaka Abrahams, went to get the keys.
When Abrahams returned, one of the men gave Abrahams a shot of pepper spray, grabbed the keys and sped off in the Magnum, according to deputies. The other two suspects got into their car and took off.
On April 16, Lauderhill police recovered the stolen Magnum and arrested the driver, 18-year-old Tiffany Reddick.
From there, Broward sheriff's deputies identified the suspected thieves as 20-year-old Michael C. Rivers, aka "Diamond;" 17-year-old Jeffrey L. Haynes, aka "Beyonce;" and a third man who investigators said is known on the streets as Candice."
