Alan of all people announces that Tony will be the next Press Sec, announcment from the White House will happen tomorrow morning!
A FReeper was kind enough to save my comments that Tony read on air as he was introducing Beckel....link no longer works on my ABOUT page, but will be back eventually (I saved the audio file).
Besides President Bush .. Name me the last president who actually tried to do anyhing about it
Hey, Miss Marple was right, if you don't like it go to another thread. Got it?
I usually only have time to lurk when Tony is on, so it would be better if a regular poster to his thread started a Goodbye Party Thread for Tony, LOL!
Good question, but this is not about the borders, I think we shall move on...
I've been on the immigration threads and have stated that I want the borders secured. To say that President Bush has done "nothing" is a lie. Has he done enough to satisfy everyone? No. Nothing will satisfy everyone.
I've studied this issue and have learned there is no easy or quick solution to the problem.
Now, if you want to talk about that issue, go to another thread! I'm sure you will find plenty of whine flowing to feed your anger. LOL
Whatever. I've been around a long time. I suppose the discussion about Bush's border policy is not appropriate on this forum. I wonder why Jim keeps polling on this issue?
"I've studied this issue and have learned there is no easy or quick solution to the problem"
Maybe you should read the solutions proposed by the Center for Immigration Studies. They don't include granting amnesty to millions of illegals.
I doubt it they know how to use google now Freepers OH YEAH LOL!
Thanks for the link
Perhaps it is because Jim knows the issue is important? And yes, the issue of border policy is NOT the subject of this thread, and is inappropriate. :)
Wrong thread, Cautor.
I just finished my first one for him. He is going to need all of our prayers and support, and so does his family.
Well, that's one WH decision that makes sense. I wish Tony well and hope that he makes a deep footprint in that nasty old pile of dirt he's getting ready to step in: Washington DC.

While you naysayers want to rag on Bush, it's congress that passes legislation and controls the purse strings. Congress has passed amnesty in 86 and offering again because they don't have any answers.
While you can disagree with his methods, you can't say he has done nothing about it.
Fine, but this thread is not about illegal immigration.
Pfft. Go right ahead and gripe, then.
Hey I will do that too!
