He is going to have to bite his tongue alot...

Tony Snow was originally an opinion columnist for the Detroit Free Press. I remember when he ended his column, he wrote that he wanted to devote more time to his new career on FNC. On FNC, he was host of Fox News Sunday, which put him in a moderator role instead of a pundit role. When Snow ended that job, he said it was because he wanted to be able to express his own opinions more than the moderator role would allow.

Now he's taking a job where he can't express his own opinions at all. But I bet that he figures it is offset by being a part of the most influential team that there is.

Slight correction.

He will be able to express his opinion, just behind the scenes to the President and other important voices in the admin.

Writing a column or hosting a talk show is fine. I don't devalue it at all, certainly it can be very influential. But if given the opportunity to possibly turn those opinions into hard reality? At very least he'll have a private audience for these suggestions. Undoubtedly a few may be adopted.

Hard to pass up.

Was that before or after he was a speech writer in the Bush 41 Whitehouse?

BTW, I betcha Snow's political views are not all that different from those of 43.

Worst thing that ever happened to FNC Sunday. Chris Wallace might as well be Mike. I seldom watch it any more.
