Well better late than never to offer congratulations from the MKJ secret virtual undisclosed location...
Tony? You can go to work each and every day knowing that there will be countless Freepers praying for you, lifting you up, and sending good vibes your way, because you my FRiend are about to become the political equivalent of Daniel in the lion's den, although I wouldn't dignify many of those egomaniacs in the White House Press Corps as "lions", but they roar a lot that's for sure.
Everybody and their dog will be trying to give you advice and tell you what to say and who to say it to, but all you have to do is just be yourself, serve our President and our Country with the same honor and integrity that you have demonstrated through the years, and don't let the SOBs you will be dealing with drag you down to their level.
I predict you're going to be great.
God Bless You Tony. :)
I am surprised...I didn't think he sounded that enthusiastic.
Prayers to Tony!
Three cheers for Tony

Other than that... Go Tony!
We need to pray as hard for Tony now and all through his upcoming awesome assignment, as we did when he was fighting cancer. He's going to need it. He's already being viciously attacked by the DUmmies.
He knows if he take the job his talk radio career will be near impossible to bring back. It's just the nature of the beast, his affiliates will all go to Boortz, Laura, or some of the others in his time slot. it would be nearly impossible to pry them away two years later.
He is a true patriot and a great American as far as I am concerned.
The saving grace for him may be FNC. They surely will hold a major league position for him when he is through as press secretary.
If I had just got over cancer I would have been hard pressed to do such a gutsy move, you gotta salute the guy.
Aside from all that he will be the best press sec. we have had in a long, long time.
We all wish you luck Tony.
"If Bush picks Snow to replace Scott McClellan, it will obviously mean that Bush must be impeached in accordance with Article II of the Constitution. I hope Bush is foolish enough to do it.
They're cracking up folks
That's been my only concern.
YOU GO, TONY!

Wow! This is HUGE news. Good luck, Tony!
Congrats! Hope you'll stay in touch with your friends at FR.
Tony--we are very proud of you here. You will do a terrific job as WH Press Secretary.
Please do not suffer fools gladly. If fools like Helen Thomas and David Gregory get stuck on stupid, we expect a quick retort and the yanking of press passes.
A measure of decorum needs to return to these sessions, rather than the piranha-like feeding frenzy that has been allowed to become commonplace.
You are someone with the cranial acuity to slice and dice the press dummies, ala Don Rumsfeld. Please protect the Office of the Presidency by demanding respect and controlling the session. The press people are reporters--just reporters-- and not there to pontificate or to inject their view on policy matters.
May the Lord protect you. You are the right man in the right place at the right time. You have been preserved for such a time as this.
And we wish all of the best.
Is there still a way to email Tony with a suggestion?
Basically I'd like to see the White House make much better use of the internet. Make all GWB speeches available as live streaming video/podcasts on the White House website.(where it can't be filtered by the Drive-By Media) Maybe there could be a 'White House Media Center' app; something similar to what Rush 24-7 offers. Dubya needs to go directly to the American people as much as possible. Preferably in settings where he can be the relaxed, likeable guy we know he really is.
I keep thinking of what Jeff Goldblum's character said in the movie 'Independence Day': "If we can't go through their defenses, we have to go around them."
