The other thing is that Scott was a Bush guy from Texas. He was not part of a national Conservative or Media movement as is Tony. He could not project much beyond his loyalty to the President. Tony CAN! good points. Scott is a decent person, but not the right one for the task at hand. Tony is a fantastic choice. Tony will help spark Bush in the right direction. I agree with others, Mark Levin would be fun to watch crush the press with his quit wit and brilliant comebacks. The Press needs a good whipping every now and then.

Bill O'Reilly has got to be so jealous.

When Jim banned him from FR, I figured he had it. I presume you're talking about Drudge, not Tony. Tony was posting here last week.
Tony, my sincerest congratulations. Don't let the press jackals get you down!
To: Ole Okie
Colmes just announced on H&C that Tony Snow will be at WH in morning for announcement. Haven't kept up with thread so sorry if it's already been announced.

No, you are the first to report on Fox. I heard it, too.
I will definitely be watching tomorrow!

Tony wasn't banned. He had his account closed at his own request. He can't post here as long as he's the press secretary. Jim also removed all of his prior posts, as an additional protection.

We should have a live thread for every press conference from now on!

I really wonder if O'Reilly's ego can handle all this.

Since the Conference Board numbers revealed that consumer confidence is at a four year high, I would think by now you would recognize the phony poll numbers for what they are.

Fantastic! Tony Snow is a reasoned voice in a loud brash arena. His writing style is eloquent...good news!
My other picks were DeRoy Murdoch and Brit Hume. Alas, I am too selfish to be deprived of Brit's attempts to educate Juan Williams in the ways of the world - now that's comic genius!

He had his account closed at his own request. Thanks for the explanation. I hadn't heard.

I just hope the stress of the job won't cause any health problems similar to what he went through a while back. We should remember him in our prayers for that very reason. He's a good man.

A press secratary's job is to parrot the party line, not to act like it's a call-in radio show. It's the last thing Bush needs is a daily ball-buster with the press. You misunderstand. Tony Snow will kill them with kindness, which is the perfect way to deal with the jackals in the WH Press Corps. It would be a mistake to have someone who would be rude and confrontational.
Snow will keep them on their toes, and he'll do it with charm and dignity.

...in accordance with Article II of the Constitution. This is a common misconception, here the liberal poster is refering to an article below the fold on the New York Times front page. This might bring back some memories

Also, if the left is breaking does that mean we can expect bionic liberals in the future.
