You can go to work each and every day knowing that there will be countless Freepers praying for you, lifting you up, and sending good vibes your way, because you my FRiend are about to become the political equivalent of Daniel in the lion's den, although I wouldn't dignify many of those egomaniacs in the White House Press Corps as "lions", but they roar a lot that's for sure.

Everybody and their dog will be trying to give you advice and tell you what to say and who to say it to, but all you have to do is just be yourself, serve our President and our Country with the same honor and integrity that you have demonstrated through the years, and don't let the SOBs you will be dealing with drag you down to their level.

I predict you're going to be great.

Slight correction.

He will be able to express his opinion, just behind the scenes to the President and other important voices in the admin.

Writing a column or hosting a talk show is fine. I don't devalue it at all, certainly it can be very influential. But if given the opportunity to possibly turn those opinions into hard reality? At very least he'll have a private audience for these suggestions. Undoubtedly a few may be adopted.

Hard to pass up.

I really don't think Tony is going to be offering the President any advice on policy. Like I said before, Bush is going to have Tony on a leash. I just hope it's a very long leash.

I've also noticed that the language has been deteriorating lately, which is really sad to see.

I'm coming up on my one year anniversary posting and honestly, if I had not lurked since the President Clinton days this place would have been seemed a mess of land mines and crazy people.

I actually joined because I saw that many of the people who provided balance were abandoning ship. Every three or four months I wonder if I should do the same thing...but now I am fighting the whole addiction thing. ; ).

I mean, I can use moose, sister, shower and TLBshow in a meaningful sentence. I'm pretty much a lost cause. LOL.
