`Uncle George Lifts Lamp At The Door'
Like the groomsmen who trimmed the wicks on their lamps. No oil in the lamps. Or something.
Never mind.

About 70% and growing fast. Bush has become the GOP's very own version of Jimmy Carter. An, ineffectual ideologue who by surrounding himself with like-minded cronies, is running blind, and making increasingly poor choices as a result. On Saturday I received a phone call from some organization conducting a political poll. One of the questions was whether I approved of the President's performance right now. For the first time in all of his presidency, after having supported him and voting for him the last two election, and despite the fact that I'm a Republican PC, president of a Republican club, a GOP state convention delegate, and having worked for 3 different Republican congressional campaigns, I had to answer that I disapproved of the President. I know that I'm not the only "broken glass" Republican answering similarly.

Things I like about Bush:
Tax Cuts
Good judges appointed.
Social Security reform attempted and may succeed down the line.
Moral values re abortion, etc.
Sterling on protecting us from the evil terrorists who are out to put us girls in burkas, and bomb us to kingdom come and other indignities, after which we won't have to worry too long about immigration.
Pro business/capitalism (on the whole)
Things I like about Hillary/Kerry/Gore,etal
Ooops can't think of anything.
But, let's all get together and diss Bush because we've suddenly discovered there are (shudder) Mexicans around.

Politics is not a zero sum game; it is not a game at all. I don't no longer care about either the Democrats or the Republican party; both brands have used up their inventory of good will. I am voting for what I believe in and for the best man or woman who is willing to step up to the job. If we could figure out a way to find suitable candidates, that bypasses the traditional party system, we would probably all be better off. For those who would say no to unions, lets begin with the biggest and filthiest two: Republican and Democrats

Such a disappointment Bush has turned out to be. All the good he has done is overshadowed by his treatment of lawbreaking ILLEGAL immigrants.I agree. The Senate is almost as bad. I've had it with the Republican Party since there is seemingly little difference between them and the Democrats. Ergo, my future votes will go with the Constitutional Party. And before I get flamed, I've been an ultra Conservative since I first voted for Barry AuH2O in 1964. Finally, I understand the Perrot vote analogy.

True enough, as usual, the Kool Aid drinking fiscal RINO's wearing their rose colored glasses, don't have a clue that their heads are about to be handed to them by the disaffected and embittered hoi polli social conservatives.
Sorry, Rockefeller wing of the GOP, this child refuses to be treated like, or taken for granted as Blacks are by the RATS. Adios RINO's, enjoy your cheap "illegal" labor victory.

"Only in some people's minds."
Tis in mine, unlike the Kool Aid drinking, sell out RINO Quislings.

Same thing RINO's like about Bush, sell out America for lots of illegal immigrant, low wage, uneducated, quasi slave labor.

"It's OK to break the law by importing cheap labor, but it's not ok to go to Canda for cheap medicine."
It is CERTAINLY not OK to try to save a buck and purchase meds from across the border in Canada. Free trade my ASS!
NAFTA my ASS!
CAFTA my ASS!
How freaking hypocritical can a country be?

Have you not noticed the changes in his inner circle? I welcome posts like yours because it discredits all you anti-Bush trolls.

We impose tariffs and sanctions on coutries who dump steel, autos, and other products in this country so why not sanctions on Mexico for dumping their poor? It is the same economic reasoning.

What changes? Josh Bolton was promoted from within, Rove is still advising the President on policy, and Tony Snow is coming in to speak for, not speak to, the President. Where have you seen anyone with a significantly different policy perspective?
