Interesting!

This ping list is not author-specific for articles I'd like to share. Some for the perfect moral clarity, some for provocative thoughts; or simply interesting articles I'd hate to miss myself. (I don't have to agree with the author all 100% to feel the need to share an article.) I will try not to abuse the ping list and not to annoy you too much, but on some days there is more of the good stuff that is worthy of attention. You can see the list of articles I pinged to lately  on  my page.
You are welcome in or out, just freepmail me (and note which PING list you are talking about). Besides this one, I keep 2 separate PING lists for my favorite authors Victor Davis Hanson and Orson Scott Card.

Thanks for posting and thanks for the ping list...

I know I'm outnumbered on this point, but I am one of the few who happens to like Bill O'Reilly... probably because I'm an offensive jerk myself (or so my wife tells me) and I can relate to his style..

But on this topic... I can not for the life of me understand what the hell he's thinking... his arguments (Bill's) make no sense whatsoever and I've seen a dozen different intelligent and well spoken guests on his program point out the error of his ways as regards to the price of gasoline. The best by far was Ben Stein who very clearly described the process, in language even I could understand and plainly made Bill look like a fool on this issue.

I don't get it.... but this article by Mac is perfect, to the point and very clear. There should be no further confusion among thinking people as to why gas costs what it costs.

Thanks again for posting

Cheers,
Lloyd

As a petroleum engineer with the Minerals Management Service I can say that approximately 25% of the production in the Gulf of Mexico is shut-in due to hurricane's Katrina and Rita. Some of that production will never be put back online due to the cost of repairing the down production platforms make it uneconomical to do so even with the higher prices.

I do not watch O'Reilly because he will not report the truth on the energy price issue.
