OK, Trent just lost me.. His first issue to address high gas prices is to 'lay down the law' against the oil companies and their 'record profits'.. God forbid the oil companies dare make a 10c per gallon profit, only the government is supposed to make a profit (50c-60c per gallon)..
The next thing we know, he'll jump on the windfall profit tax bandwagon.. nothing like a politician with a potential pot of money...

Strange, I thought people came to America to make a profit! I know excess profits go to much better uses than excess taxes do.

No one will complain about go after big oil ... but they FAIL to realize that tax will be passed down to the consumer
