Personally I would have preferred Dan Senor. I like Tony Snow a lot but he always came across to me as a "nice guy" maybe too nice of a guy. Tony's got the brains but I think the job also requires someone with a heart of stone.
We'll see what happens but I am afraid with his personality, he may get pushed around.
I understand what you are saying, and sort of agree. I think alot of Freepers are expecting Tony to get in there and start tearing the MSM a new orifice, but I don't see that happening. He is still, sort of, one of them, and he has to be respectful to his collegues. Having said that, I think Tony is the kind of guy who can come across as nice and respectful, but still make his point.
I dont know how this will play out, I dont see much downside to this, but the potential upside is pretty big, IMHO. I think its going to be fun!

His current job description is talking calls on his national Radio show, so his job description would not change much;
- Instead of responding to regurgitated talking points from the (D) seminar callers..
- He will be answering those same regurgitated talking points from a small handful of (D) press whores who's collective IQ is considerably smaller.
