As I said, it is unclear as to when the reform legislation might pass.
OTOH, there has been no legislation introduced, nor is there any legislation being considered for introduction, that would provide for deportation.

I don't believe anyone on the Right is exaggerating the numbers of illegal aliens in the United States. On the contrary, I believe the MSM and the Left are deliberately minimizing the number of illegal aliens. They've been using that same low number since Clinton was in office.
Once again, the Illegal Aliens Will Deport Themselves!

Nor has there been any legislation passed that illegal alins will NOt be kicked out, either.
So you may be thrown out on your ear along with all your pals after all ... that'd be great.

"It's called the legal immigration pathway and so says the law of our land"... the problem we seem to have here is that our elected ones truly beleive they have the right to selectively decide to whom the law shall apply. It would seem somehow an excellent question for the Supreme Court. For if it is ruled so, by the Court, then all men equal under law is dead, and we return to aristocracy, where favorable treatment is metered out to politically correct members of the King's Court.

Hey Ben;
Are you planning on taking time off from your job, (where you spend your time posting messages here) to celebrate Pinko de Mayo?

Oh yes they will. Don't you know it's against the law to help illegal aliens stay here???

Do you think that they will deport me for posting on FR?
To: Ben Ficklin
"When will they start?" Most likely we'll have to vote a few more RINOs out of office before they start.

We need a new Republican 'Contract with America' that includes walls for our borders and strict enforcement of our existing laws against illegal immigration.
The longer the debate lasts on illegal immigration, the better our chances of electing a congress that will do that.

"What part of defacto legal status don't you understand?"And what part of "illegal alien" don't you understand?
Attempting to rename an "illegal alien" a "defacto legal" ain't gonna fly, Ben.
By all means keep on trying, though. You might actually convince somebody.
But I doubt it.

Now, now Bush said it would be too expensive to round them up and send them back "just not pratical" I believe were the words.
Guess it less expensive to keep them here and give them welfare checks; not to mention the 29% of them in our jails.

Are you sure you aren't being contrary for contrariness' sake?

If there are 12 million of them in the country living open lives, shopping at walmart, in the streets on Monday, and they are not being deported, it would imply that they have some status.
You may not like a particular word used to describe that status, but the status does exist. You may not like that they have this status, but, for a fact, they have it.
