Well, the Airbus entertainment system uses Linux...I would hope the avionics displays are controlled by a proprietary (Honeywell?) O/S and not a certain commercial O/S which shall remain nameless... ;)

yeah, but the entertainment system never crashes, after all, the passengers would *notice*! bad for business and all that.

besides, thompson CSF has a money back guarantee on their software -- good for 2 million miles or until the tail falls off, whichever comes first.
