I'm sick of hearing the claim that "we can't" deport 12 million illegal aliens.

After all, these illegals had the creativity and where-with-all to get here in the first place, so they certainly should have the power to get themselves back home (especially considering the $$ they made working in the US).

Maybe we can't deport them all at once.

But through attrition, we can force at least 2 or 3 million illegals a year to go home of their own accord.

IF, that is, we have the will to punish all who employ illegals ...... and IF we have the will to immediately deport any illegal who has committed a crime ..... and IF we have the will to incarcerate ANY AND ALL illegals caught in America pending deportation within 30 days.

No, we won't round up 12 million illegals all at once, but we can certainly make it so uncomfortable that the tide will turn and the flood will begin to head south from whence it began.

I agree. Rome wasn't invaded in a day, and the invaders won't be expelled all at once.

Close the borders. Then deport 2-3 million a year. Pretty soon, we'll be where we want to be. Maybe that means that half of those here can stay. Who knows. Time will tell.
