There have been improvements in border security, and there have been arrests of illegals, a change in prison policy and in deportation.

It is inaccurate to say that he is not in favor of enforcing the laws.

Whether or not he is doing enough is the question. I don't think he is.

That's wrong, border security has not improved. Border enforcement has deteriorated beyond belief. The local Houston radio talk show hosts (good conservatives and long time Bush supporters all) have done live remote broadcasts from the border. It's a crisis situation which Bush, Chertoff et al just plain lie about.

The principal talk show host Dan Patrick just won a 69% victory for state senate as a political novice in a 4 way race over 3 well known political officeholders with his No. 1 issue as "order on the border." He, like the vast majority of voters are LIVID with Bush over this issue.

In the next legislative session, Texas will take steps to secure the Texas border with Mexico, and we don't give a rat's patoot what Bush and the federal government says about it.

It is inaccurate to say that he is not in favor of enforcing the laws.

What is more accurate is to say he is in favor of appearing to be enforcing the laws.
