Pelosi will do the same as were doing now, big government open borders.

With Pelosi, you get higher taxes, a recession, more regulation, higher gas prices, and egg roll...along with unending media coverage fawning over the "first woman Speaker"...[gag]

The crap would stop if the mods would ban the retreads already and enforce the rules. If you notice, many of the border trolls are all recent sign up or suddenly became active after years of nothing. I suspect that probably 80% of the border trolls have been banned before, are DU infiltrators, or disruptors from LibertyPost and Clownposse.

They should also ban the idiots who are constantly making calls for violence and murder. If I can get a 1 week suspension for calling another member "stupid" then calling for killing on a massive scale should result in a permanent ban.

It helps though that some of the worst people like Travis McGee were finally given the boot. How many times must a member violate the rules before getting banned? Good grief, the guy called for an armed insurrection, threatened other members, and worse.

I do not care what you think about illegal immigration or anything else ... except the war on terror, for this election in November.
If the democrats win ... the party of cowards .... it will be war on our shores.
Just listen to these cowards and what they have been saying on the news shows. We can not afford to let them win ..... Kerry's statements are April 1972 all over again. The party of cowards can not be trusted with national security.

"we can go over the cliff at 30 MPH or 100 MPH, either way, looks like we're going."

I've decided to change horses and jumped on that is going the other way.

the blatant manipulation of oil futures

Any jamming up of oil futures now will lead to a drop by Sept-Oct, hmmm.

The article is trying to whip up fund raising for the candidates.

Sen. Bill Nelson misleads the DUmmies that he is in danger of losing to Katherine Harris in FL. Nelson has $10 million in the bank already.

and were suppose to fight for (R) when at the end of the day they are the same as the (D). Maybe they should impeach Bush so we can have Cheney... who may actually have a spine.

If that happens, does Senate have to confirm Cheney?

"Pennsylvania's 6th, 8th and 10th: With GOP Sen. Rick Santorum trailing for re-election and Democratic Gov. Ed Rendell headed for a big re-election, Democrats have recruited strong contenders in marginal districts held by Republicans: Law Professor Lois Murphy against Rep. Jim Gerlach (6th) and Iraqi veteran Patrick Murphy against Rep. Michael Fitzpatrick (8th). The fate of GOP Rep. Don Sherwood (10th), who has admitted an extramarital affair, is uncertain."

That statement alone would force me to call "BS" on this article.

Fast Eddie headed for a big win?...lol..More like he is in the fight of his life.

I checked, and yes, you are right. Some of them (on this thread only) just signed up in April.

Harris was one I had high hopes for six months ago, and is the biggest disappointment next to the inability to get a known name to run against either Harry Reid or for the Arkansas seat.

John Gizzi is brilliant, and about as knowledgable as a DC-based person can be.

But, perusing his list of races, the ones I know much about would lead me to think that, in the end, the GOP is going to do better than this piece would suggest.

Or, that if they lose, it's not going to be in the places some might expect...

It's really sad to see how the GOP has squandered the MANY opportunities it has been given for leadership and the advancement of individual freedom since 1994. Maybe, if they spend some time outside the "beltway" they will come to their senses before the 2008 elections and we can avoid having another "President Clinton".

And Im suppose to cheer Bush on because he has an R next to his name

No one's asking you to cheer anyone. There's a difference between R's and D's and you're naive if you think the country wouldn't be different with the D's in control of the government in a time of war.

At least with the R's running things, you have a chance of getting SOME of what you want out of the government.

the conservative base of the Republican Party increasingly dismayed with the President's performance on issues such as runaway government spending and immigration "reform,"

Those are the two that will lose the election for them and yet they continue to screw up both issues on a daily basis. Do they think they can blow off their base while they go after the big-spending liberal and the illegal alien vote? They're clueless and we're all going to suffer for it under Democrat rule.

If the democrats take over the congress ... illegal aliens will seem like a walk in the park compared to war in the streets.
