The situation seems to have come down to this : there is no such thing as an oath anymore, as far as the Left is concerned. For them, it's "I promise not to reveal any information unless I feel like it."

I think someone will have to re-write the oath or add a line or two, saying that the person understands that he/she will be sent to prison for a mandatory minimum of 25 yrs if he is caught revealing classified information.

Amazing. Classified information is subject to free speech protections. Except when that classified information is the identity of a CIA employee. You really have to hand it to liberals for their ability to see both sides of every issue.

McCarthy is only the tip of the iceberg.
The CIA leaks, leaks, and leaks some more, and can not be trusted nor believed.
Let's lift the veil about that former Ambassador Wilson that went to Africa and then reported to the NYT.
Wilson started a classification of information by presenting his wife as a CIA agent.
Fitz picked up on it and has been investigating for two years.

Clinton cleared the decks in the many departments in Washington when he got into the WH. Remember the travel office kerfuffle? This is one mistake that I believe President Bush made when he came into office. He values loyalty and let all the career diplomats and bureaucrats stay in place rather than bringing in loyal right-wing supporters. It has hurt him in national security and the CIA needs a thorough cleansing to get rid of disloyal and disruptive forces like Mary McCarthy.

She should have the book thrown at her for treason at the very least.

What has happened to my country? I do not see why this would be a divided issue. Agent McCarthy leaked classified information to a reporter. She is a criminal and should be in jail.

Do Democrats think its OK to leak Classified information is you are not in favor of the policy? Also, who elected Mary McCarthy to anything? She was/is a federal employee and is required to protect Classified information.
