When our nation turned it's back on God and began the systematic legalized murder of 40+ million of it's most helpless citizens...we spit in God's face...(not the only crime of which we are guilty but a real biggie)
And now we are about to pay the same price Israel has paid many times when it too turned it's back on the God over us all and his Son...Jesus Christ
Our leaders are not any more or less corrupt then 'we the people' have become...sad too say...
Repent if your heart is now not too hardened to do so and watch for fruits of that repentance to know whether or not it is real or that God has softened his judgment against you...
God demands obedience...and the specifics of that obedience are in His word....
Apart from God this nation is lost...forever...and it should be...for apart from God no thing on this earth is worth saving... Judgement isn't coming...it's here...
II Chronicles 7:14:
If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Sadly I don't see any sign of this happening.
If people want on or off this list, please let me know.
A few weeks ago we had a good dicussion on the Council on Foreign Relations. I'm pinging you to this article because a lot of what is in it is remeniscent of what I found at cfr.org when I visited it during that thread.
Lots of crime with these illegals. They're value system is completely different than ours. Do they even have a value system? Looking at all the crime, it makes me wonder.
Sure, and it's a simple one: "I'm entitled to whatever I want to have or do."
Hmmm....one thing with many of these illegals especially coming out of central america is they DO NOT VALUE LIFE. I have some very strong thoughts on that...better not post those, however. ;o)
You could speculate in vague, general terms.
Animals....two-legged beast...
bump for later
The first thing I noticed was that it doesn't apply to people who migrate into a country illegally. It applies only to legal immigrants. In fact, Part I, Scope and Definitions makes it very clear who the Convention applies to. It does not apply to "non-documented" or "irregular" immigrants except to reinforce laws the United States already has in place such as giving illegals convicted of crimes a fair trial, and informing them why they've been arrested when/if they get arrested. In fact, as you continue reading the document, you discover that it stresses over and over again that its conventions do not apply to illegals. For example, Part III, article 34
"Nothing in the present part of the Convention shall have the effect of relieving migrant workers and the members of their families from either the obligation to comply with the laws and regulations of any State of transit and the State of employment or the obligation to respect the cultural identity of the inhabitants of such States. "
and Article 35
"Nothing in the present part of the Convention shall be interpreted as implying the regularization of the situation of migrant workers or members of their families who are non-documented or in an irregular situation or any right to such regularization of their situation, nor shall it prejudice the measures intended to ensure sound and equitable-conditions for international migration as provided in part VI of the present Convention."
And Article 79...
"Nothing in the present Convention shall affect the right of each State Party to establish the criteria governing admission of migrant workers and members of their families. Concerning other matters related to their legal situation and treatment as migrant workers and members of their families, States Parties shall be subject to the limitations set forth in the present Convention.""
I invite you to read the document yourself. The fact that Joe Klein doesn't should give you some insight into his intent. The fact that he doesn't even provide specific references from the document is a big red warning flag that maybe his emotional warnings aren't entirely accurate. As I've shown in this post, it is the easiest thing in the world to give a "Part" or "Article" reference. The document is relatively short and clearly subdivided.
Does that mean I agree with the Convention? Nope. Like just about every single thing the UN produces, I find it irrelevant to this nation. I am as threatened by what the UN does and says as I am by the tripe Barbra Streisand or Alec Baldwin spew. Our laws already cover almost all the protections for migrant workers that it suggests. And in some respects, it is even less restrictive than immigration legislation under consideration by the Senate.
The article that opened this thread is essentially an emotion filled, poorly supported rant. It really does nothing useful to resolve the immigration debate. And the fact that within a few posts people are tossing out warnings about CFR and a NWO reveal how solid the foundations of those concerns are. It is very easy to spin up a conspiracy crowd, because they've already accepted a line of spin based on a very questionable arrangement of a few, selective facts. Nothing new there, as conspiracies are older than the written word. But in an age when all of us can investigate the facts on our own, it is disappointing to see conspiracy theories are growing faster than ever.
Read later.
Yeah, let's single out the Jews. That is certainly a germa(i)n criterion.
It was a member list from CFR. Nice try though......
