Because they have blind trust and other investments that rely on the success of the transnational corporations to finish 'globalizing' the world. Some, like Senator Feinstein have openly invested in 'developing' countries like China, with investments in Shanghai steel and hotels that amount to hundreds of millions of dollars. Their allegiances, therefore have shifted.

In short, if the UN advocates of open borders have their way, the developing countries would get to transfer their economic underclass without any cost to the destination countries, which would be expected to subsidize them
