I find it funny that Hamas is angry people still consider them terrorists, instead of a legitimate government. With people like Bin Laden coming to their aid, why would we think they're terrorists?

1,000 years? No way. There would be time recovering, and the economy would be damaged severely, but we wouldn't return to the Dark Ages.
As a nation, we have long since recovered from 9/11 in every technical and economic sense. Families still lost loved ones, and the WTC is gone, but as a nation and a culture, we continue to move forward. And if needed, we will do so again.
Nothing wrong with that if you make it "militant Islam".

EXACTLY RIGHT. NO WAY would we sink back 1000 years. We were hit at Pearl Harbor, and in Oklahoma (home grown terror of course but no different), twice in NYC (1993 and 2001)and we bounced back and we will again.
America won't fall back 1,000 years unless we lose the will to fight for our freedom.
Right and that will is deep inside all of us. You can't lose that. Look what happened on 9/11 how we pulled together.

Why in the h*ll is it our duty to feed this sorry lot?
Israel can handle this situation if would keep our nose out of their government.
The world knows what Hamas intentions are and, they want the United States to fund them with our tax dollar.
Hamas will not stop until they drive the nation of Israel into the ocean, (witch isn't going to happen), so lets stop funding these maggots and let Israel take care of them.
People who think some kind of peace is going to come to fruition with Hamas are not dreaming, they are in a night mare.

well, if this is so, it's good news. you don't think he has a zillion rich connections, though? obviously HE has to be receiving funding himself from outside sources (not that he requires much in the dirt hut in which he supposedly lives.)
i just figured this whole huge network of al queda has buttloads of bucks to spread around the planet.
as i said,though, i don't get why they don't spend some of that dough on the poor peoples of their countries. and how stupid are the poor peoples that they don't get the disconnect.
