A new poll on Mexican attitudes towards the U.S. debate on illegal immigration has found that a large plurality of those surveyed say Americans who favor tighter border security are "racist."
The survey, co-sponsored by the Dallas Morning New and Mexico's El Universal newspaper, found that the largest segment of respondents - 43 percent - cited racism as the chief reason that Americans oppose illegal immigration.
A much smaller number - 16 percent - said U.S. citizens are most concerned about law enforcement. Just 14 percent think Americans are not racist, but fear being overrun by foreign cultures.
"Yes, it's true about racism," said Gloria Vázquez Solache, 59, a Mexico City resident who was among those polled. "They humiliate our countrymen and even burn Mexican flags. Fear of a 'foreign culture' is nonsense."
The same poll found that 76 percent of Mexicans think that crossing into the U.S. illegally should not be a crime. 79 percent of Mexicans want illegals already in the US to be legalized.
Stop the racist invasion by Mexico NOW! There....how's that? Two can play at this game.
Besides, second generation so called "Hispanics" have an inter-marriage rate with non-Hispanics of 60%.
By the third generation, just about everybody in America has a "Heinz 57" family.
Since when are the Mexicans a race?...further more since when is the Mexican flag untouchable.
The Mexicans are trampling and burning our flag every time they get a chance to spit in our faces, promoting their Aztlan Empire, Shangri-La nonsense!
100 years ago protestant america was terrified that italian and irish immigrants would turn the US into a catholic country with protestant children forced to confession and communion...never happened.
I found these web sites and all I can say is: It sure makes you wonder what is up Caucasians today?
Is their an equivalent, universally-used racist word for Mexicans in American English?

Didn't think so. Now, exactly who is racist?
I rest my case...
It's all over-generalized. All my close "Mexican" friends are more Spanish than Indian. I suspect that most illegals are also.
Ooh, that quote is just so scathing! Bad Arnold! Bad! /sarc
No way! I'm shocked. I wonder what percentage of prison inmates don't think that they should be serving time for their crimes? Somehow I'm guessing similar poll numbers.
He who denied it supplied it.
