IMHO Woolf clearly shows Edward Albee's genius at writing witty dialog.

I might add ............ I generally watch movies for their excellent dialogue. Thusly I see a lot of older movies.

"Lion in Winter" (1968) with Katharine Hepburn, Peter O'Toole, and Anthony Hopkins comes to mind. That was great.

And a very young Timothy Dalton. Now that you mention it adding backstabbing boys to Woolf along with a dash of noir neutralizing light heartedness gives you Lion. LOL.
