We are here because a sizable minority of politically active people want to teach young earth creationism in science classes.

There is a sizable majority of people -- who unfortuantely are not as politically active as they should be -- who do not want it taught in our schools that we are all here by accident and in fact pathogens on blessed Gaia, which a small minority of people have managed to impose through manipulations that go beyond legislative action.
