"Fragment T comes to within .05 AU around May 25th." 4.6 million miles?

The article seems to be in English :-) I was at Yellowstone National Park the last two days, so I missed the Coast To Coast program. There is a replay on the air right now. How convenient to have ETs directing comet fragments in response to the ravings of a leftist, anti-American looney. If the ETs were upset about possession of nuclear weapons by an unstable government, they would be going after Iran, not the Bush administration.

My wife's birthday in on May 26th. Does this comet stuff mean I don't have to get her a gift this year? Buy the gift, put it away. If the comet strikes, it's over. If not, you have gift. No brainer..

Just ran numbers on P73 (T) it will pass Earth closest point on May 16th at 0.0565 au, which = 5.252 million miles

Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie What Is An AFDB?
An Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie (AFDB) is a type of headwear that can shield your brain from most electromagnetic psychotronic mind control carriers. AFDBs are inexpensive (even free if you don't mind scrounging for thrown-out aluminium foil) and can be constructed by anyone with at least the dexterity of a chimp (maybe bonobo). This cheap and unobtrusive form of mind control protection offers real security to the masses. Not only do they protect against incoming signals, but they also block most forms of brain scanning and mind reading, keeping the secrets in your head truly secret. AFDBs are safe and operate automatically. All you do is make it and wear it and you're good to go! Plus, AFDBs are stylish and comfortable.
What are you waiting for? Make one today!

UPCOMING CLOSE APPROACHES TO EARTH |
1 AU = ~150 million kilometers 1 LD = Lunar Distance = ~384,000 kilometers
* Diameter estimates based on the object's absolute magnitude.

Hmm... First off, it appears that the closest fragment, 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3-V, would hit on the 12th if it wasn't going to miss the Earth by about 4.9 million miles. Second, all of the fragments will be past the Earth by the 14th.
Perhaps he should leave science to the scientists?
