A Good Economy May Be Hazardous to Your Health (Under Bush, even a good economy is bad!)

New research shows a potential link between prosperous times and fatal heart attacks.

Careful what you wish for. You're more likely to die from a heart attack when the economy is strong and unemployment is low, new research shows.

An uptick in the nation's economy corresponds to an increased number of fatal heart attacks, according to a recent study by University of North Carolina-Greensboro economist Christopher Ruhm. The study, which tracked heart attacks against economic activity from 1979 to 1998, found that when unemployment drops by 1%, the number of heart-attack fatalities grows by 1.3%. Why? To make the front page of Yahoo, you have to be bashing Bush, even if indirectly. I am also quite impressed at the lengths liberals will go to not give George W. any credit for anything.

and the decline of the death rate by 2% (50,000) in 2004, largest drop in 60 years, especially including heart attacks, strokes and cancer.

Yeah, but the decline in the death rate will make social sercurity more expensive and harder to fix, so therefore it's Bush's fault.

Good news is only good when a liberal Democrat in office.

Man, Rush had it right today. Liberals aren't just doom and gloomers any more. They're downright Apocalyptic in their worldview.
