I hope that ICE starts holding these cities and towns that have these Sanctuary policies accountable for their violations of the law.

Ha, ICE couldn't find an illegal in a May 1st Boycott Protest.

You will have to impeach him.

This is San Jacinto Day.

We made 'em run for the border once, but can we do it again? Mr. M is a descendant of a captor of Santa Anna.

Sanctuary laws "generally forbid local police officers from inquiring into a suspect's immigration status or reporting it to federal authorities."

Thanks to both of you. I didn't know about this and am furious. Texas is being taken over and our own city governments are aiding and abetting. Unbelievable! I have supported George Bush's foreign policy up until now, but it's time for him to stop coddling Vicente Fox, seal our border, and deport anybody who isn't here legally. Not that I'm holding my breath.....

Yeah, it's an artificial barrier ~ and long overdue to enforce it.

Sanctuary cities have no "sanctuary" from federal officers. The cities just tell their own police force that they are unable to ask about immigration status.
Sheesh these people are dense.

Even alot of the cities that do not have "official" sanctuary laws do not enforce the laws. My city is one of them. I asked the media gal in charge at our local city police if they enforced immigration laws. She said we are not an official sanctuary but because of our hispanic population (which is huge) and the fact that the officers know nothing will be done (there is no official policy for illegals) they never ask.

We demand that city council declare this city to be a safe haven from the Border Patrol," activist Jaime Martinez said. "Not to be raiding factories and workers, and we ask that they be protected."

Last I checked there Jaime, San Antonio was IN AMERICA. The Feds don't recognize "sanctuary cities." Well they shouldn't. What kind of shape is your immigation status in Jaime?

Imelda Lopez said she didn't get a chance to speak with her husband before he was deported to Mexico

Good. You miss him? You want to be in his arms again? Go to any BP office. They'll hook you right up.

We've taken San Antone from the Mexicans once, and we can easily do it again.

Put 186 of THEM in the Alamo this time...

"The actual battle of San Jacinto lasted less than twenty minutes, but it was in the making for six years."

And the aftershocks were felt for several more years, as the rest of Northern Mexico attempted to break away from the "Centralists" led by Santa Anna.
Some went so far as to come to Texas to ask for our help, and to try to raise an army.

We turned them away.

We turned them away.

Because we honored a border, and a treaty. Mexico surrendered. Texans have honor. Northern Mexico needed then (and needs to now) fix their own problems. They need to quit p!ssin and moanin about how bad they have it, and how good we made it.
