Understand something, the confession probably came early this week or last, which means that they confronted her weeks ago. She probably took the time to lawyer-up, have discussions, and when finally presented with her available options, decided that the best thing she could do would be to confess.
It also means that she is definitely cooperating with investigators, which I am sure makes many people very nervous. I predict that by next Friday, this will be the biggest story in the nation.
