The London Telegraph's weekend revelations raise deeply disturbing questions about the extent and magnitude to which President Clinton, his national-security adviser Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger, and senior terrorism and State Department officials — including Assistant Secretary of State for East Africa, Susan Rice — politicized intelligence data, relied on and even circulated fabricated evidence in making critical national-security decisions, and presided over a string of intelligence failures during the months leading up to the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania.

There really, truly is a Fifth Column operating to undermine our duly elected government......this thread is blowing my mind.
Barton Gelman was the reporter on the Iraqi WMD hunt who got his info so wrong that an Australian General had to write to the post to point out that he wasn't even remotely involved in the hunt for WMD as claimed in Gelman's article. Also, for the same article the head of the Iraq Survey Group [ISG]'s search groups before Duelfer wrote a lettr to the editor of the WashPo asking for a correction. His source was evidently not very much in the know.
Or maybe his source was using him to deliberately mislead the public.
