FYI...

The Washington Post had the story on their front page this morning BUT the headline was broken on the fold.

Above the fold...."CIA Officer"
On the fold...."Is Fired For"
Below the fold..."Media Leaks"

Of course the subhead reads "The Post was among outlets that gained classified data".

Above the fold stories... Rock Creek Fish Get a Lift (with large photo)...Democrat Leaves Ethics Panel...and :Top Shiites Nominate a Premier for Iraq...and Doors Close for Real Estate Speculators.

The L.A. Slimes did have it above the fold, but it was the most innocuous, sterile accounting of what has gone down you could imagine. Anyone used to the Slimes usual biased "analysis" style of spin would be shocked how this was reported. I sent a letter to the editor opining that this hit them too hard to organize a spin, so they had to play it straight for a change......

I purposefully turned on CNN at noon to see how they were covering this story. The noon report summarized the top items of the day. They started with gas prices and then gave a synopsis of about 10 more stories including a report on iguanas. No mention was made of the fired CIA employee.

I turned back on Fox and they were in the middle of Katherine Herritage report dealing with the CIA leaker.

I was going to call CNN at their local number here in Atlanta and complain (404-827-0234) but I figured why even bother.
