I tend to think that Berger saw these memos from Clarke, and realized that the fact that nothing was done would be an embarrassment to the Clinton Administration. So he, Berger, decided he was going to "sanitize" the Archives file before it got to the 9/11 Commission. How he got away with doing this is one of those great untold Washington stories.

It seems like they all took an awful lot of chances both illegal and legal to cover up their crappola. I cannot believe how many people have gone to such lengths to try to tar others and to eventuate their Power. There is a terrible, ugly sickness that is pervasive in the Democrats. I hope that she is charged, tried and convicted and then sentenced to death, but not before she blows this whole thing sky high and names all the co-conspirators and they are handled equally by The Courts. This is no time to be squeamish.

Wouldn't it be a "hoot", if the reason that Sandy got "off" was because he gave Porter's folks Mary's name in exchange for his "slap-on-the-wrist", instead of having to live with a new "roommate" for 20 years at Levenworth????

Maybe he didn't get by with it and rolled over Mary McTraitor here and the others are being investigated for his light sentence.

Two rat senators may be getting the polygraph experience in their near future.
