Is she related to the composer, or is his name spelled differently?

Ohio Gov. Bob Taft, a Republican, is now considered vulnerable in his re-election bid because of an ethics scandal involving his failure to report free golf outings and other gifts. Taft pleaded no contest to four misdemeanor ethics reporting violations last year and was fined $4,000. The people at the AP are morons. Not only is Taft not running for re-election, but he's not eligible to run in any case.

Some pretty stunning reporting from John Hanna here:

"Ohio Gov. Bob Taft, a Republican, is now considered vulnerable in his re-election bid because of an ethics scandal involving his failure to report free golf outings and other gifts. Taft pleaded no contest to four misdemeanor ethics reporting violations last year and was fined $4,000".

Another factor that seriously undermines Taft's 're-election bid' is that he is not a candidate, and that the Republican primary is currently being contested by Ken Blackwell and Jim Petro.

I caught that too -- but I guess he's pretty vunerable.

They just threw him in so they could smear a republican in their report.

She is John Gilligan's daughter. He was our RAT/lib/socialist governor (Ohio 1971-1975). He gave us our income tax (for the children, doncha know). She is a daddy-clone -- the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

LOL... Classic MSM reporting!

Be sure you understand that there is no liberal bias at work here trying to put Republicans in a bad light.
